Apple TV has released the full trailer for the fourth season of Ted Lasso, bringing the beloved character back to the small screen this August.
The new season shifts focus significantly from previous seasons, with Ted (Jason Sudeikis) taking charge of a second-division women’s football team, the Lady Greyhounds. It’s a fun change of direction after three seasons centred on the men’s side. The returning cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, reprising their roles as Rebecca, Keeley, Roy, Coach Beard, and Higgins. New additions to the Richmond roster include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

Season four will run for 10 episodes, opening with a single premiere before moving to a weekly release. It follows season three’s ending, which saw several character arcs reach apparent conclusions, including Ted’s departure from Richmond back to Kansas. It was widely believed at the time that the show would end, until a change of heart by the team behind it led to the renewal of a fourth season.
Jason Sudeikis executive produces alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel, with Jack Burditt joining this season as an additional executive producer. Brett Goldstein continues as writer and executive producer alongside Leann Bowen, with Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh writing and producing. Bill Lawrence executive produces via Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television.
Ted Lasso remains one of Apple TV’s biggest hits. Its debut season became the most Emmy-nominated first-year comedy ever, and its first two seasons both won Outstanding Comedy Series. All three previous seasons are streaming on Apple TV now.
Season 4 premieres Wednesday, 5 August 2026, with new episodes weekly through 7 October 2026.
