The Feature started as an excuse to talk about the stuff we couldn’t stop talking about anyway. We believe what actually happened rarely matters as much as what it felt like to sit there and watch it. A film can tick every technical box and still leave you cold. Another can be a total mess and somehow be one of the best nights you’ve had all year. We’re want to put the focus back onto the experience.
On this site, everything sits under Film or Television. Beneath that, every piece is one of three things: simple to read News; an experience-first Review; or, every so often, a longer Deep Dive into something that stuck with us. We’re not trying to be first with a story. We just want to write the kind of thing we’d want to read ourselves was scrolling on the toilet.
