Ryan Gosling Confirmed as MCU’s Ghost Rider
After years of rumours, Ryan Gosling has finally been confirmed as the lead in Ghost Rider, an upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This has been a highly anticipated casting for which Ryan himself has spoken about numerous times in interviews.

After years of rumours, Ryan Gosling has finally been confirmed as the lead in Ghost Rider, an upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This has been a highly anticipated casting for which Ryan himself has spoken about numerous times in interviews.
The film will be directed by Shawn Levy, who previously directed Deadpool and Wolverine for Marvel and, interestingly, is working with Gosling on the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter movie. During the Hall H panel where the film was announced, Levy told the crowd that he and Gosling spent much of their downtime on set daydreaming and swapping ideas about the exciting project. “As Ryan started talking about his vision for this character, we started riffing,” said Levy “And I finally said, ‘Bro, let’s ride.’ So guys, we’ll see you in 2028.”
Gosling will be the second actor to play on the big screen after Nicolas Cage played the fiery motorcycle rider in two Sony movies – Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The character was also portrayed by Gabriel Luna as the Robbie Reyes version of the comic book character in the television series Agents of SHIELD. Fans have been clamouring for Gosling in the role for many years, with journalist Josh Horowitz infamously regularly chatting to Gosling about the role, which led to his involvement in the thrilling announcement.
Ghost Rider will release in Cinemas in 2028.
