It’s just been announced that Furious (not to be confused with Fast and) has been renewed for Season 2 at Hulu.
The renewal comes with the finale taking place on Monday. It originally debuted on July 27th and has steadily grown in weekly viewership since although the plots do differ. With the show following an FBI agent named Alice Black (Emmy Rossum), who is chasing down a mysterious and calculating female serial killer (Lola Petticrew). However, as their lives start to intertwine, despite walking their own paths towards justice, the line between right and wrong soon begins to blur.

It also features Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy, as well as guest stars Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang and Steve Way. It was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether, who also created New Girl, The Dropout and Dying For Sex. Rossum executive produced for Composition 8 along with Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead and Sam Hoffman. Brian Kirk executive produced and directed the first two episodes. 20th Television and Searchlight Television produced the series.
Claude De Pear for The Feature believes this is only a positive decision, with the show feeling like a delightfully fresh take on the genre. It’s helped massively by a really strong cast and clever writing. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t had the chance to watch it, with the finale promising to be a very satisfying conclusion to those who have watched so far.
