Netflix has announced (via Tudum) that the third season of Wednesday has wrapped production, whilst also giving us our latest look at Jenna Ortega in the lead role.

It was filmed in Dublin, similarly to previous seasons, although a behind-the-scenes image released as part of the announcement also appears to show Wednesday Addams (Ortega) visiting Paris.

The show was co-created by showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who told TUDUM their “goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” says Gough. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Before Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”

It’s shaping up to be a really exciting season, with Eva Green being previously confirmed to join the already stellar cast. Green will be playing Aunt Ophelia, sister of Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones). At the time, Green told Tudum, “I’m thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia. This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world, I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family.”

Other cast members joining the show for this season include Lena Headley, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer. With stars like Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Emma Myers, Fred Armisen and Hunter Doohan also returning.

Although the news of a Season 3 renewal was announced before the Season 2 debut, we still don’t have a release date. However, it appears to be inching closer with news that production has concluded!
