Last week, as part of New York Comic-Con, Marvel Television announced that a project called Zodiac was their next live-action television series.
There are limited details at this stage, but it is set to be a spy thriller with rumours circling online that it could be some sort of Agents of Shield reboot attempt. It will join a thinning TV slate at Marvel, with most of the franchises’ popular titles either already ending or on their way out. There was a huge amount of uproar online when it was announced that Daredevil: Born Again would end next year with its third season, as well as the news that they will no longer go ahead with a second season of Wonder Man.

There is also a report floating around the internet from Knight Edge Media which says the show will soon begin the search to cast two male leads and one female lead, none of which are based on existing Marvel Comics characters. Given the teases embedded in the released title treatment, it’s unclear why the studio would feel the need to create a show set without using any of its incredibly long list of established characters as its leads. It remains to be seen what the story will be with such limited details available.
The next television project for Marvel is VisionQuest, which debuts later this week. It is a conclusion to the positively received WandaVision trilogy and is said to take place after the events of the trilogy so far. Based on the trailers, it appears to be following Vision (Paul Bettany) as he tries to regain his memory and humanity after Thanos killed him in Avengers: Infinity War. It also features numerous characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years, including James Spader as Ultron and James D’Arcy as Jarvis.
Zodiac is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2028.
