Do not fear the end, as Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune: Part Three.
Set two decades after Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) seized control of the Imperium, the final instalment shows him as a ruthless Emperor, facing the consequences of his reign as old allies return, terrifying new threats emerge, and betrayal lurks in every shadow.
Haunted by visions of Imperial collapse and the return of his long-lost love, Paul is drawn into a sweeping conspiracy, with Chani (Zendaya) at its heart. As enemies close in, Paul must confront the true cost of power and the fate of those he loves the most.
The immense cast also includes Florence Pugh, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem.

The first film in the trilogy was released in 2021, adapting the novels by Frank Herbert. Herbert first came up with the idea for the story after being assigned to write a magazine article about sand dunes in the Oregon Dunes. Set in the distant future, the novel follows Paul Atreides and his family as they reluctantly accept stewardship of Arrakis, an almost inhospitable desert planet that is home to ‘spice’, a substance that extends life and enhances mental abilities. These unique properties make control of the planet highly desirable.
Villeneuve directs from a screenplay co-written with Brian K. Vaughan. The film is produced by Oscar nominees Mary Parent, Tanya Lapointe, Villeneuve, Cale Boyter and Joe Caracciolo Jr., with Joshua Grode, Thomas Tull, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, Richard P. Rubinstein, John Harrison and Jessica Derhammer serving as executive producers.
Behind the camera, Villeneuve reunites with several acclaimed collaborators, including Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren, production designer Patrice Vermette, editor Joe Walker, visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert and composer Hans Zimmer. The crew also includes Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West, visual effects supervisor Mag Sarnowska, visual effects company DNEG and Oscar-nominated casting director Francine Maisler.
Dune: Part Three releases in cinemas and IMAX in the UK on December 18, 2026.
