Deadline has reported that Spider-Man star Tom Holland is teaming up with Sony Pictures once again to lead the original thriller Penthouse, reuniting the actor with the studio behind some of his biggest box office successes.
The project is currently being kept under wraps, with plot details yet to be revealed. However, the thriller is based on an original idea from writer Drew Pearce, best known for his work on Iron Man 3 and The Fall Guy. Pearce and Holland will develop and produce the film through their respective production companies, Point of No Return and Billy17, bringing together their experience across action, comedy and blockbuster filmmaking.
Following the box office success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Penthouse looks set to further strengthen the relationship between Holland and Sony Pictures. Holland’s production company, Billy17, already has a producing deal with the studio, making this another opportunity for the actor to expand his work behind the camera while continuing to lead major projects on screen.
