Norman Reedus, known for his role in The Walking Dead, has joined the cast of spy thriller Disavowed for Apple TV.
He will star alongside James Marsden (the most underrated actor ever) in the Apple TV series from creators Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (writers of Iron Man, Uncharted). The show, which was greenlit in May, follows Brad Griffin (Marsden), a CIA case officer who’s fired in the middle of a global manhunt for an assassin who killed one of Brad’s colleagues. Cast out of the intelligence world, he goes freelance and tries to collect a $15 million bounty on the assassin.

Apple Studios is producing Disavowed with Blue Marble Pictures (Pachinko). Marcum and Holloway executive produce alongside Marsden, Tom Spezialy, Michelle MacLaren (who is directing the first two episodes), Rebecca Hobbs, and Blue Marble Pictures’ Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity.
As mentioned, Reedus is best known for his role as Daryl in The Walking Dead, where he appeared throughout the 11-season run (and the spin-off following his character). He’s next going to be seen in The Housewife, which premieres later this year. Whereas Marsden, his co-star, has recently been seen in another Apple series, Your Friends & Neighbours, as well as the feature film Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice. The two-time Emmy nominee’s recent credits also include Hulu’s Paradise, season one of Jury Duty on Prime Video, the Sonic the Hedgehog movies and Disney’s Disenchanted. Interestingly, he’s also set to reprise his role as X-Men member Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to be released in December. Here’s hoping his character finally gets some cool moments!
