Stephen Kalyn, who is known for his breakout role in Off Campus, has joined the cast of The Housemaid’s Secret from Lionsgate.
The film is based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel and follows Millie (Sydney Sweeney) as she takes a job keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see. Only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own.
Kalyn joins the previously announced ensemble of Brittany Snow, Kristen Dunst, Michele Morrone and Paul Anthony Kelly, with Morrone reprising their role from the 2025 hit The Housemaid. He will be playing Brock, Millie’s lawyer boyfriend who knows nothing about her criminal past. Dunst will play Mrs Garrick, with Kelly as Douglas Garrick. With Snow playing Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the Mr Garricks’ company.

Paul Feig returns to direct alongside Rebecca Sonnenshine, who adapted the first book. Feig is also producing with Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures, Laura Fischer of Pretty Dangerous and Sweeney through her Honey Trap banner. Carly Elter, who oversaw the first movie for Hidden Pictures, is returning as executive producer, alongside Alex Young of Hidden Pictures. Honey Trap’s Kaylee McGregor will co-produce. Chelsea Kujawa and Maria Ascanio are overseeing the film for Lionsgate.
Kalyn is best known for playing Dean Di Laurentis in Off Campus, for which he’s going to be the central couple in the second season alongside Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla). He’s also appeared in Gen V, Cruel Intentions and Motorheads all for Prime Video.
The Housemaid’s Secret will start production later this year and is set to open in cinemas on December 17th next year.
