The next three exciting hosts of Saturday Night Live UK have been confirmed, including the celebrity host and musical guest who are hosting this coming weekend (10th October).
Each week, a new host and musical guest join the hilarious cast for topical sketches, live music performances, and the iconic Weekend Update segment. Cast members include Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Freddie Meredith, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
For those wondering who is hosting this weekend, it’s been announced as BAFTA award-winning actor Danny Dyer (Rivals, Mr Big Stuff) alongside acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Keable as musical guest. It should make for a brilliant episode, with Dyer never being one to shy away from jokes at his own expense.

After that, on the 17th October, star of stage and screen James Norton (House of the Dragon, Happy Valley) will take on hosting duties, joined by iconic British artist The Streets. Before that, multi-award-winning actor and singer Cynthia Erivo (Wicked, Harriet) will host on 24 October, with musical guests indie rock band Blossoms. I’ve actually been fortunate enough to get tickets to the James Norton episode, which is really exciting, having loved the original edition for years prior to the UK adaptation.
We’ve had Jeff Goldblum, Jamie Demetriou and Amelia Dimoldenberg host so far, before a break this weekend, in what’s been a really successful return to air for the series. Fans are getting more and more on board with the cast members, with clips doing well on all social channels. Personally, I think it’s great to see that new cast member Freddie Meredith has fitted in so well, and it’s also been fun to see Al Nash get more sketches after a couple of episodes last year felt like they were underusing him!
The new series of SNL UK continues Saturdays at 10 pm on Sky and streaming service NOW.
